THE 2021 SUMMER KICK-OFF EVENT
LAST SUMMER WAS ROUGH
During the summer of 2020, our community experienced an uptick in community disturbance and gun violence.
Seven shootings within the span of a few weeks. One of which a young man, 19 years old, was shot and killed at a local gas station. The socioeconomic challenges of our city often leave our youth with few opportunities. And many are often unaware of those opportunities available to them. This makes it easy to get into trouble and caught up in the legal system, never realizing their fullest God-given potential.
Instead of sitting back and complaining about the youth, we decided to do something. Something that will...

WHAT IS THE FINAL PLAY?
A 4-day community event that brings families together through basketball and faith in order to set the tone for a positive, productive, and peaceful summer in the city.
